B.C. Lions News Release

(Vancouver) For the second time in five weeks, BC Lions receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux has collected CFL Player of the Week honours. This time, it comes on the heels of a stellar outing against the Edmonton Eskimos after hauling in eight catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns to help propel the Leos to a crucial 32-25 victory on Saturday night.

The second major was vintage Manny as he fended off a number of would-be tacklers and found the end zone on a dazzling 70-yard catch and run. The second-quarter strike from quarterback Jonathon Jennings also marked the longest play from scrimmage this season for the Lions. In two games against the Green and Gold, Arceneaux has recorded 15 receptions for 296 yards and four majors.

"My thing is just to get the guys around me to follow my lead," Arceneaux said of his highlight-reel night. "I just try to lead by example. It ain't about me. It's the guys around me getting me open. You can't cover everybody."

The win on Saturday gives the Leos a 10-6 record on the year and keeps Arceneaux and company very much in the hunt for second place in the West Division and a possible home date for the Western Semi-Final on Sunday, November 13. The club closes out the regular season with two games against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, starting Saturday afternoon in the last-ever contest at Mosaic Stadium.

The Lions and Roughriders will meet again a week later to close out the 2016 regular season at BC Place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 5 presented by Nissan.
