Led by a high-powered offense which has scored at least five goals in each of its last four games, the Toledo Walleye find themselves in a familiar position after two weeks of the 2016-17 season. The two-time defending North Division champions, who were moved to the Central Division prior to this season, are 4-1-0 for eight points, tied with Tulsa for the division lead.

Toledo opened last week with a 5-0 win at Cincinnati on Tuesday. Kyle Bonis, last week's ECHL Player of the Week of-the-week), scored a pair of goals and added an assist, while Alden Hirschfeld added three points (1g-2a) of his own. Jake Paterson stopped all 39 shots he faced to record his third career shutout.

The Walleye wrapped up their season-opening four-game road trip on Friday with a 6-5 shootout win at Brampton. Tyler Sikura led the way offensively for Toledo with two goals and Cal Heeter earned the win in goal with 37 saves.

Toledo opened the home portion of its schedule on Saturday with a 6-5 overtime win over the Beast in front of a sell-out crowd of 8,000 at Huntington Center. Tyson Spink scored four goals, including the overtime game-winner just 28 seconds into the extra session. His twin brother Tylor picked up three assists, as did Nolan Zajac

The Walleye are averaging 5.00 goals per game through their first five games to lead the ECHL. Toledo's 25 goals is six more than any other team has scored through the first two weeks of the season. Five Walleye players have already scored at least three goals, with Bonis leading the way with five, which leads the ECHL. Sikura and Tyson Spink are tied for second in the league with four goals each.

Toledo heads back on the road for a pair of games at Norfolk on Friday and Saturday.

Eastern Conference South Carolina at Florida (Friday and Saturday) Two of the most successful ECHL teams of all-time meet for the first two times this season. The clubs have combined to win the last three South Division titles.

Western Conference Colorado at Utah (Friday and Saturday) The Eagles and Grizzlies are part of a three-way tie (along with Allen) atop the Mountain Division standings with 3-1-0 records. Utah defeated Colorado 4 games to 2 in the 2016 Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Divisions North Division

ADK Mason McDonald is second among rookie goaltenders with 190 minutes played. The Thunder are 6-for-6 on the penalty kill through three games, one of six ECHL teams to have not conceded a power-play goal so far this season. Adirondack hosts Elmira on Tuesday and Saturday and visits the Jackals on Friday.

BRM Luke Pither is tied for fifth with six points (3g-3a). Brampton has scored in each of its three games. The Beast host Missouri on Friday and Sunday.

ELM Kyle Rankin registered his first professional points with a multi-point game (2a) Friday against Norfolk. Three of the five goals scored by the Jackals this season have been power-play goals. Elmira is at Adirondack on Tuesday and Saturday and hosts the Thunder on Friday.

MAN2015 Matt Leitner has at least one point in all four games (2g-4a). Manchester is second in the Eastern Conference with 15 goals. The Monarchs host Cincinnati on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

REA Martin Ouellette's 35 career wins with Reading ranks third all-time in team history. The Royals open an eight-game road trip this week. Reading is at Idaho on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

WHL Kevin Schulze and Gage Quinney both recorded their first career points on Thursday against Reading. Each of Wheeling's three games has been decided by one goal. The Nailers are at Kalamazoo on Friday and host the K-Wings on Saturday.

South Division

ATL Eric Neiley has three goals in his last four games. The Gladiators lead the league with seven goals in the first period. Atlanta hosts Wichita on Thursday and is at Orlando on Friday and Saturday.

CIN Craig Dalrymple scored his first pro goal in Saturday's win over Wheeling. Cincinnati is fifth with 28.25 shots-against per game. The Cyclones are at Manchester on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

FLA Matt Berry has at least one point in each of the first three games (1g-3a). The Everblades are second with 24.67 shots-against per game. Florida hosts South Carolina on Friday and Saturday.

GSR Angelo Miceli extended his point streak to four games with a goal on Saturday at South Carolina. Greenville has scored six of its 11 goals in the second period. The Swamp Rabbits host Wichita on Friday and Sunday.

NOR Rod Aldoff posted his first win as an ECHL head coach on Saturday at Elmira. The Admirals are fifth with 2.20 goals-against per game. Norfolk hosts Toledo on Friday and Saturday.

ORL Nikolas Brouillard scored his first pro goal on Saturday against Florida. Orlando is on a four-game home stand to open the season. The Solar Bears host South Carolina on Thursday and Atlanta on Friday and Saturday.

SC John Parker scored his first career goal in his pro debut on Saturday against Greenville. The Stingrays scored two shorthanded goals in Saturday's overtime loss to Greenville. South Carolina hosts Wichita on Tuesday and is at Orlando on Thursday and Florida on Friday and Saturday.

Central Division

FW Kyle Thomas has points in each of the first four games (1g-3a). Fort Wayne is third on the power play at 27.3 percent (3-for-11). The Komets host Allen on Friday.

Indy_1 Eric Levine stopped 32 of 34 Missouri shots on Saturday in his Fuel debut. The Fuel have outscored their opponents 5-2 in the first period. Indy hosts Tulsa on Friday and Allen on Saturday.

KAL Nic Riopel began the season with a 109:10 shutout streak. Kalamazoo is 10-0-1 in its last 11 road games dating back to last season. The K-Wings host Wheeling on Friday, visit the Nailers on Saturday and host Allen on Sunday.

QC Justin Kovacs has at least one point in each of Quad City's four games. The Mallards have killed each of their opponents' last nine power-play opportunities. Quad City hosts Missouri on Wednesday and Tulsa on Saturday.

TOL Nolan Zajac is fourth among defensemen with four assists. Toledo has won four of its first five games for the first time in Walleye team history. The Walleye visit Norfolk on Friday and Saturday.

TUL Jamie Phillips leads the league with four wins. The Oilers are fifth on the power play at 21.1 percent (4-for-19). Tulsa hosts Allen on Tuesday and is at Indy on Friday and Quad City on Saturday.

WIC Matt DeBlouw recorded his first pro goal on Friday against Missouri. Wichita is 12-for-12 on the penalty kill through two games. The Thunder are at South Carolina on Tuesday, Atlanta on Thursday and Greenville on Friday and Sunday.

Mountain Division

AK Rob Murray won his 200th game as Alaska's head coach on Saturday at Colorado. The Aces are tied for third with 2.00 goals-against per game. Alaska hosts Rapid City on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

ALN Jamie Murray leads rookie goaltenders with 1.53 goals-against average. Allen is 26-for-26 on the penalty kill through four games. The Americans visit Tulsa on Tuesday, Fort Wayne on Friday, Indy on Saturday and Kalamazoo on Sunday.

COL Cole Sanford is tied for fifth among rookies with two goals. The Eagles are 2-0-0 when leading after two periods. Colorado hosts Rapid City on Wednesday before visiting Utah on Friday and Saturday.

IDH Landon Bow earned his first professional win on Friday against Utah. Idaho has at least one power-play goal in three of its four games. The Steelheads host Reading on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

MO Aaron Berisha's first pro goal was the game winner on Saturday against Indy. The Mavericks had a sell-out crowd of 5,800 for Saturday's home opener against Indy. Missouri is at Quad City on Wednesday and Brampton on Friday and Sunday.

RC Lindsay Sparks is on a three-game goal streak (3g). Rapid City has scored five of its nine goals in the second period. The Rush are at Colorado on Wednesday and Alaska on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

UTA Shane Walsh leads rookies with 16 shots on goal and has scored a goal in three straight games. The Grizzlies are second in the league with 17 goals. Utah hosts Colorado on Friday and Saturday.
