Peter Revel to be Honourary Blazer Saturday Night

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers will have a special pregame ceremony Saturday night when they host the Tri-City Americans. The hockey club will have Peter Revel as their honourary Blazer.

Peter Revel is a 15-year-old from Abbotsford, BC, and the younger brother 20-year-old Kamloops Blazers forward Matt Revel. Peter was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome and Autism.

Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome is a rare condition characterized by short stature and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

Peter will be the honourary Blazer for the night and also drop the puck for a ceremonial faceoff prior to the start of the game.

Saturday will be Autism Awareness Night. The Chris Rose Therapy for Autism will be set up on the concourse.

As well, Tim Hortons is sponsoring Kamloops Minor Hockey Night. All Initiation players are provided with a free ticket courtesy of Tim Hortons.
