Cape Breton Eagles News Release
SYDNEY- the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have named Patrick McNeil the club's new communications coordinator.
McNeil, a 34 year old native of Prime Brook, has been the play by play announcer for Screaming Eagles radio broadcasts since the fall of 2013, a position he will continue on in. Previously he graduated from Cape Breton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in communication.
"I'm happy to be expanding on my role within the organization", McNeil said about the new job title. "There is certainly some natural symmetry with the communications and the commentating position, and I look forward to applying skills acquired in my broadcasting role in an additional capacity."
This weekend the Screaming Eagles make their first road trip to the province of Quebec, and McNeil will be behind the microphone on Friday night when Cape Breton visits Gatineau for an 8:30 PM Atlantic Time puck drop.
