OTTAWA, ON - Fury FC looked to have their unbeaten streak extended to eight games, but Miami FC halted the streak with a 95th minute stoppage time winner from Vincenzo Rennella to claim all three points.

Despite Giuseppe Gentile scoring his third straight goal in the 44th minute leveling the score at 1-1, and many glorious opportunities in the second half for Fury FC to take the lead, Alessandro Nesta's side prevailed, handing Ottawa its first loss in over a month.

"It's a tough one to swallow for a number of reasons," said Dalglish." We created so many chances in the second half and we were looking like the team that would score. We had great opportunities but we weren't enough clinical in front of goal tonight and we needed more quality, so we won't feel sorry for ourselves."

"It was a great run, but tonight we will take the blame for not taking our chances and now we have to start another run, starting with a home game on Sunday against Puerto Rico FC," added Dalglish.

After a very quiet start to the game were both teams didn't produce much offensively, the Miami FC struck first. In the 35th minute former Fury FC midfielder Jonny Steele sent a nice trough ball to Michael Lahoud who found himself space behind Ottawa's backline and delivered a perfect shot beating Peiser for a 1-0 lead.

Just like he did in the previous two games Gentile was able to bring his team right back into the game by scoring a goal in a third straight game, once again the equalizer. Just before halftime, the American striker accepted a lovely back-heel feed from Carl Haworth, turned and fired a powerful shot, too hot to handle for Miami's goalkeeper Daniel Vega, leveling the score at 1-1.

Fury FC carried the confidence built from Gentile's goal into the second half producing several great scoring chances. After Peiser came up big in the 60th minute, stopping two close-range shots from Dario Cvitanich, Fernando Timbo almost gave his team the lead after a great free-kick cross from Maxim Tissot.

The Brazilian defender had another outstanding chance in the 76th minute when he put his head on a long cross from the left flank, but his effort ended on the woodwork.

In fifth minute of stoppage time, Miami FC was awarded a free-kick near the touchline. Freeman sent a delivery in the box and Rennella was able to flick it just past Peiser, giving Miami FC a 2-1 win.

Ottawa will now return home to host Puerto Rico FC at TD Place Sunday (October 2) at 2p.m. Tickets for Fury FC home games are available by clicking here, calling 613-232-6767 x1 or in person at the Box Office at TD Place. The Fall Season schedule is available here.
