Lineup notes
Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes 10 changes to his starting XI from last Saturday's 3-3 draw with Colorado Rapids with only centre back Kendall Waston staying in the XI. Waston is suspended for Sunday's match against Seattle Sounders FC after being a shown a red card against Colorado.
There are three Canadians in tonight's XI: fullbacks Fraser Aird and Brett Levis, as well as Marcel de Jong, who starts on the left wing.
Cristian Techera, who starts tonight on the right wing, has a team-high three goals in Vancouver's first three CCL matches. Substitute Erik Hurtado also has two goals and two assists.
Whitecaps FC Disciplinary Report
Erik Hurtado, Andrew Jacobson, Russell Teibert, and Kendall Waston are on caution accumulation warning. As per competition rules, cautions will not be wiped clean until after the quarter-finals.
