OAKVILLE, ONTARIO - Colorado Mammoth forward Callum Crawford, who tied a single-season League record with 83 assists this year, was named the 2016 NLL Air Canada 'Wingman of the Year' award recipient on Tuesday night at the league's NLL Season Awards Ceremony at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.

"I'm honored!" said Crawford. "This award is a testament to my teammates who I have the privilege to play with. I thank Steve (Govett) and the entire Mammoth organization for allowing me to be part of its amazing family, and I'm proud to bring this award to Colorado."

Crawford took flight in his first season with the Mammoth, routinely showcasing his aerial athleticism around the crease. But it was his record-tying assist-total that made Crawford a fan-favorite in his first season in Colorado after signing as a free agent.

He registered five-plus assists in a game eight times this past season, including a nine-assist output against the Bandits in January which tied for the most by a player in a game this year. Crawford added 32 goals, which tied a career-high, to give him 115 points, one shy of the Mammoth's single-season record.

In May the Ottawa native was the recipient of the Mammoth's Gary Gait Award, which recognizes the team's most valuable player. He was a two-time NLL 'Wingman of the Week' Award recipient in 2016.
