Cleveland Gladiators News Release

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators, presented by Unique Home Solutions, announced today that senior quarterback Dustin Crum of Midview High School has been named the Week 5 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Middies' 56-30 win over Berea-Midpark on Friday night.

Doing most of his damage in the first two quarters before sitting out the second half, Crum passed for 289 yards and rushed for 207 yards, while setting a school record for career passing touchdowns. Crum's outstanding achievements helped guide Midview to the Week 5 home victory, improving their record to 4-1.

"Dustin is a great kid and a hard worker," said Midview head football coach D.J. Shaw. "His leadership, toughness and ability have been a huge reason for this team's success for the past three years. He is a team-first player that appreciates winning over stats and personal accolades."

For winning, Crum will receive an award recognizing his accomplishment, an appearance in-game at a 2017 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by Defensive Backs Coach Dominic Jones, as well as a $500 grant towards the Midview High School football program.
