Rivero Earns 2016 Rawlings Gold Glove

RENO - Reno Aces third baseman Carlos Rivero (@Carlos_Rivero3) was named as one of nine players to earn a 2016 Rawlings Gold Glove Award©, Minor League Baseball announced today. The Gold Glove honor is the first of his 11-year professional career.
Rivero, 28, led all Minor League third baseman with a .987 fielding percentage in 110 games at the hot corner. He committed just three errors in 234 chances, while playing a role in 15 of Reno's 155 double plays turned, the second-highest total in the Pacific Coast League.
Paired with his outstanding play at third base, the Venezuelan posted career highs in home runs (19), RBI (72), slugging percentage (.484) and OPS (.800).
The Rawlings Gold Glove Award© won by Rivero is the first awarded to an Aces player in franchise history.
