Manitoba Moose Present Cheque to St.Amant

Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose are pleased to invite members of the media to attend a special presentation to the St.Amant Foundation on Tuesday, September 27 at 2 p.m.
Media are asked to arrive at St.Amant (440 River Road) at 1:45 p.m. and meet at the main entrance. The presentation will take place in the early learning classroom, part of St.Amant's autism program.
The Moose will present the St.Amant Foundation with a cheque symbolizing the $16,992.68 raised by fans last season through the team's Autism Awareness campaign in the month of March. The total represents the combined funds raised from autographed team puzzle sales, in-store donations at all Red River Co-op gas bars and food stores, and Autism Awareness Jersey auction and retail sales.
The net proceeds helped support the development of an early learning classroom at St.Amant which is designed for pre-school aged children living with autism. The funds raised facilitated the purchase of learning aides for the classroom including:
- Smartboard and computers for pre-academic skills
- Specialized educational software
- LeapFrog tablets with learning games uniquely designed for children with autism
- Toys to facilitate creative play
