FISHKILL, NY - The Hudson Valley Renegades are excited to announce that John Hagemann will be inducted into the Professional Baseball Scouts Hall of Fame on Friday, September 2nd at Dutchess Stadium. Hagemann becomes the 15th member of the Professional Baseball Scouts Hall of Fame at Dutchess Stadium, which honors individuals who have left their mark on the world of baseball through the profession of scouting.

"The Goldklang Group and the Hudson Valley Renegades are pleased to continue the tradition of honoring professional baseball scouts with this year's induction of John Hagemann to our Hall of Fame Wall," said Eben Yager, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Hudson Valley Renegades.

Hagemann, a native of Staten Island New York, has worked in the professional baseball scouting industry for over 40 years. During that time, Hagemann has scouted for the Montreal Expos, Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies organizations. He now currently works in the Philadelphia Phillies organization as a professional scout. Hagemann was instrumental in the signings of Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones and Jason Marquis.

Criteria for induction into the Scouts Hall of Fame include a minimum of 20 years of professional scouting experience. Selection also is based on the combination of successes in all areas of amateur and professional baseball.

Hagemann will be inducted into the Scouts Hall of Fame prior to the Hudson Valley Renegades contest against the Vermont Lake Monsters on Friday, September 2nd . The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm in front of Dutchess Stadium where the Scouts Hall of Fame Wall is located.
