Jerî-mé, Ouimette Called Up for International Duty

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Armada FC defenders Mechack Jerî-mé and Karl Ouimette have been called in to their respective national teams to play in upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Jerî-mé, who has recorded 56 career caps with the Haitian national team, will join the Grenadiers on Sunday as they prepare for their qualifiers against Costa Rica at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 2 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and against Jamaica at 9:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Kingston, Jamaica. Haiti currently stands fourth in the CONCACAF Group B standings.

Named to the North American Soccer League earlier on Monday, Jerî-mé has played 1,271 minutes in 15 appearances this season for the Armada and has an assist to his credit.

Ouimette, who has 16 caps for the Canadian national team, will join Les Rouges (the Reds) on Sunday in Orlando as they prepare for qualifiers against Honduras at 5:06 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 2 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and against El Salvador at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Canada is currently third in the CONCACAF Group A standings.

Currently on loan from Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls, Ouimette has played 527 minutes in six appearances since joining the Armada before the start of the NASL Fall Season.

Both Jerî-mé and Ouimette will return to the club on Sept. 7 in time for its road match against Rayo OKC on Sunday, Sept. 11.
