August 24, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Gwinnett Stripers News Release
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - With the Gwinnett Braves trailing Charlotte by just a half-game for first place in the International League South Division with 13 games remaining in the regular season, the team has announced that tickets for a potential first-round series of the 2016 Governors' Cup Playoffs at Coolray Field will go on sale to the public on Monday, August 29 at 9 a.m.
Should the G-Braves win the IL South for the first time in the team's eight-year history, the club would play the winner of the West Division (currently Columbus) in a best-of-five series from September 7-11. Gwinnett would host Game 3 on Friday, September 9 at 7:05 p.m., Game 4 (if necessary) on Saturday, September 10 at 7:05 p.m. and Game 5 (if necessary) on Sunday, September 11 at 2:05 p.m.
Starting August 29, tickets for all three first-round games will be available for purchase in person at the Coolray Field Ticket Office, by phone at 678-277-0340 and online at GwinnettBraves.com. Tickets for the following round, the Governors' Cup Championship Series, would go on sale if the G-Braves were to advance.
Playoff ticket prices for all sections of Coolray Field remain unchanged from regular-season prices. If the G-Braves do not qualify for the playoffs, all ticketholders will be refunded.
To purchase tickets to any remaining 2016 regular-season home game, call the Coolray Field Ticket Office at 678-277-0340 or visit GwinnettBraves.com/tickets.
