2016 Training Camp Schedule Announced

Flint Firebirds News Release


The Flint Firebirds Hockey Club announced the 2016 Training Camp schedule today, beginning on Monday, August 29th. For the second consecutive year, on-ice sessions will be held at the Firebirds' practice facility, Flint Iceland Arenas and are open to the public with free admission. Flint Iceland Arenas is located at 1160 Elms Rd, Flint, MI 48532 and fans are encouraged to attend.

Monday, August 29th

- 2:00 PM: Players Report to Dort Federal Event Center for medical and fitness testing (closed)

- 6:00 PM: Team Blue Practice at Iceland Arena

- 7:00 PM: Team White Practice at Iceland Arena

Tuesday, August 30th

- 10:00 AM: Team White vs. Team Blue at Iceland Arena

- 6:00 PM: Team White vs. Team Blue at Iceland Arena

- 6:00 PM: First Flint Firebirds Coach's Show on 'Sports Xtra 1330 WTRX Radio'

Wednesday, August 31st

- 10:00 AM: On-Ice Session at Iceland Arena

- 6:00 PM: On-Ice Session at Iceland Arena

Thursday, September 1st

- 12:00 PM: On-Ice Session at Iceland Arena

- 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Firebirds Open House & Select Your Seat Night at Dort Federal Event Center

Friday, September 2nd

- 10:00 AM: Pregame Skate at Iceland Arena

- 7:00 PM: First Preseason Home Game, vs. Windsor at Iceland Arena

Sunday, September 4th

- 7:05 PM: Preseason Away Game at Windsor/WFCU Centre (Live on 'Sports Xtra 1330 WTRX Radio')

- Training Camp Concludes

Friday, September 9th

- 7:00 PM: Second Preseason Home Game, vs. Saginaw at Iceland Arena

Wednesday, September 21st:

- 7:00 PM: Regular Season Opening Night vs. Saginaw at Dort Federal Event Center
