Rancho Cucamonga, CA- The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes pitching staff outdueled the Inland Empire 66ers in a 4-2 victory on Wednesday at LoanMart Field and in the process swept the 66ers in a three-game set.

The Quakes got on the board in the first inning against Inland Empire righty Alex Klonowski (7-11) when Edwin Rios tagged a two-run homer for a 2-0 lead. The homer was Rios' 16th in only his 42nd game played with the club.

Inland Empire (33-70, 10-23) tied the game in the third inning against starter Andrew Sopko (11-2) when Michael Strentz and Jeff Boehm each singled and were eventually knocked in when David Fletcher singled them home with two outs. Sopko went six innings fanning four and allowing six hits on just 64 pitches of work.

The Quakes (61-42, 19-14) answered immediately against Klonowski; Yusniel Diaz delivered a bases loaded single to score a pair and make it 4-2.
