Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
EDMONTON, ALTA. - The Edmonton Oil Kings have signed goaltender Boston Bilous to a standard WHL Player Agreement announced general manager Randy Hansch today.
Bilous, who was selected by Edmonton in the 4th round (80th overall) in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft, played last year with the Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep team where he won the Goaltender of the Year award for the league.
"I am very excited to get new chapter going and move forward with the organization," said Bilous. "I am looking to progress my game under their leadership. The Oil Kings have a great system there and I am happy to be part of it."
The 6'2, 205-pound Langley, BC native also was key in helping his team win all four major tournaments they entered in 2014-15 as well.
"We are very pleased to announce Boston's signing," said Hansch. "Moving forward this will allow him to transition into our program and develop in to becoming a future Oil King. In Boston, he is a good size goaltender that brings athletic ability in the crease."
