Mahoning Valley Scrappers Strive for Esurance Home Field Advantage Award

NILES, OH - As the second half of the season gets underway, Minor League Baseball and Esurance today unveiled the first annual Esurance Home Field Advantage Award. One Minor League Baseball team in each of the 14 leagues will receive the award based on the highest percentage capacity of the ballpark during the 2016 season.
Mahoning Valley Scrappers fans are encouraged to continue to support the Scrappers in this friendly competition by attending games in the home stretch of the regular season. The winning teams will be announced in September and honored at the 2016 Baseball Winter MeetingsT in National Harbor, Maryland, this December. A celebration for the hometown fans of each winning team will also take place at their respective ballparks at the start of the 2017 season.
"Fan support is an important ingredient for on field success. Fans can contribute to on field success by packing the stands and creating and exciting environment for the players," states Vice President of HWS Baseball and Scrappers General Manager.
The Scrappers' promotional calendar is packed with fun-filled events to entertain every kind of fan. Upcoming promotions include four Fireworks Nights (August 12, 21, 26, Sept 2), a Bradley Zimmer Bobblehead Giveaway on August 13, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle "Leonardo" Appearance on August 14, Cleveland Indians Night with Carlos Baerga Appearance and a t-shirt giveaway on August 20, Bobblection Presidential Candidates (Clinton and Trump) Bobblehead Giveaways on August 27, plus much more!
