Generals Sweep the Strykers

Victoria Generals News Release
The Victoria Generals completed the sweep after a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th brought home Will Watson from third base to give the Generals a 3-2 win at Riverside Stadium, Monday.
The Generals recorded their first lead in the bottom of the sixth with the help of strong pitching from Chance Callihan, who pitched seven innings and striking out 13.
Triston Busse came in to relieve Callihan in the eighth, but gave up a run to tie the ball game 2-2.
Lance Moszkowicz came into the top of the ninth relieving Busse and did not allow the Strykers to score. Moszkowicz continued his success in the 10th as he pitched two innings giving up no hits and three strikeouts while recording the win.
The Generals took care of business in the bottom of the 10th. After a one-out Watson's double, he stole third base. Watson came home with the winning run on a wild pitch from Strykers' Logan Clarke.
The Generals look to continue their successful homestead as they face the Texas Marshals for a doubleheader Thursday, at Riverside Stadium. First pitch is at 7:05 P.M.
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday with $1 draft beer all night on the Compadres Design Party Deck, as well as Texas Tech Alumni Association of Victoria Group Night. Gates open at 6pm with first pitch set for 7:05.
