IronPigs Look to Take Series from Louisville

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to take the series from the Louisville Bats on Sunday night. First pitch of the series finale from Louisville Slugger Field is slated for 6:05 p.m. With a win, the Pigs will set a franchise record for high-water mark at 20 games above .500.

RHP David Buchanan (6-5, 4.28) gets the ball for the IronPigs on Sunday night in the series finale. Buchanan is coming off his best start of the season on Tuesday at Indianapolis when he earned the win after giving up one run on five hits while walking two and fanning six in 8.2 IP. The Atlanta native is 3-1 with a 3.09 ERA in his last five starts.

LHP Amir Garrett (2-1, 2.19) will toe the rubber for the Bats opposite Buchanan. On Monday at Columbus, Garrett allowed one run (none earned) on six hits to go along with five strikeouts in six innings of work. In four appearances with Louisville this season, the southpaw has held opponents to a .171 average (14-82). Garrett was 5-3 with a 1.75 ERA in 13 G (12 GS) with Double-A Pensacola.

With a three-hit game on Saturday, Pigs INF/OF Darnell Sweeney has hit safely in eight of his last 12 games. During that stretch, the UCF product is hitting .311-2-5 (14-45, 3 2B, 11 R).
