Great Falls (18-16) remains three games behind first-place Billings in the Pioneer League North Division after the Mustangs lost at Grand Junction Saturday. Orem (20-14) now leads the series 2-to-1, and is still tied for first in the South Division after Idaho Falls also won on Saturday. The Owlz started the scoring with a single run in the second. Alex Abbott reached base with a one-out walk. Two batters later, Sam McDonnell doubled deep to right for a 1-0 lead. The Voyagers grabbed the lead in the top of the third. Back-to-back singles by Jackson Glines and Sam Dexter started the inning. After a sacrifice bunt, Mitch Roman walked. Jameson Fisher then gave Great Falls a 2-1 lead with a base hit to center that scored both Glines and Dexter.

Leading off the fourth, Brady Conlan made it 3-1 with a solo home run crushed deep to left. It was Conlan's fourth of the season. In the bottom of the fourth, Orem used a two-out solo home run of its own from Alex Abbott to trim the lead to 3-2. The Owlz tied it in the fifth with another solo homer, this time from Jose Rojas deep to right-center.

Orem took its second lead of the night with a three-run sixth. Keith Grieshaber singled to lead off the inning. Zach Gibbons gave the Owlz a 4-3 lead with a triple to left-center. Nick Flair made it 5-3 with a double to left-center. The third run scored on a Franklin Torres sacrifice fly to right. Orem added another run in the seventh for a 7-3 cushion.

Great Falls plated a single run in the eighth. Mitch Roman reached with a one-out infield single up the middle. After Jameson Fisher singled to center, Aaron Schnurbusch doubled home Roman for a 7-4 score. The Voyagers left the bases loaded that inning. In the ninth, Jackson Glines led off with a triple to the wall in right. The next batter, Sam Dexter, launched his first professional home run deep to left-center for the game's final margin.

On the mound, Adam Panayotovich took the loss in relief for Great Falls. Panayotovich (2-5) pitched two-and-a-third and allowed four earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Reliever Andrew Vinson posted the win for Orem. Vinson (3-1) worked two-and-a-third and gave up just one earned run on four hits with one strikeout. Greg Belton earned his second save of the season. Belton pitched one-and-two-thirds and yielded two earned runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
