Acadiana Cane Cutters News Release
It was another pitcher's duel through the first seven innings of play. Victoria would break through in the top of the 8th when Zac Rogers threw a wild pitch with the bases loaded scoring Sam Mahofski giving the Generals a 1-0 lead. Nick Anderson followed with an RBI single to left field to make it a 2-0 lead.
Acadiana responded in the bottom half of the 8th when Cobie Vance from Alabama and Kyle Mendenhall from Oklahoma each hit RBI groundouts to tie the game at 2.
It would stay tied at 2 until the 10th inning when the Generals took advantage of an error and scored five runs with the big hit coming from Pedro Barrios who drove in a pair with a single to centerfield.
The loss snaps a four game win streak for the Cutters.
The Cane Cutters and Generals will wrap up their series tomorrow night at Fabacher Field with the first pitch scheduled for 7pm.
