Yard Goats Swept by Sea Dogs in Doubleheader

Portland, ME- The Hartford Yard Goats (43-36) were swept in a doubleheader by the Portland Sea Dogs (29-51), losing 6-2 and 10-2 on Friday evening at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. Portland put together a pair of four run innings in each of the games of the twin-bill. The Sea Dogs played long ball in the first game and cranked three home runs in the 6-2 Portland win, ending a 4-game losing streak. In game two, the Yard Goats batted the tying run at the plate in the sixth inning before falling short in a 10-2 defeat. Hartford's Raimel Tapia had three hits in the two games and now leads the Eastern League with 100 hits this season. Red Sox top prospect Yoan Moncade drove in five runs with a double and 3-run homer.
