Kenosha, Wis. - The Kingfish (13-17) fell at home to the Battle Creek Bombers 8-6. The loss is now the second straight for the Kingfish.

The Kingfish pitching staff had a tough day on the mound. Alex Hamilton was the game's starter and allowed 4 ER in 3.1 innings pitched. Chase Thurston and Andrew Burnick combined for 2.2 innings of relief in which only one unearned run was allowed.

JR Holloway allowed 2 runs in 1.1 innings, and Aaron Schwark allowed another in the final 1.2 innings. In total, the Kingfish pitching staff allowed a season high 15 walks, and 7 earned runs.

The offense found more success. Blake Reese had the game's biggest highlight. First he tripled in the 7th, and then stole home to electrify the Simmons Field crowd. Cal Jadacki had a 2 for 4 day, including an RBI double. In the end, the offensive effort was not enough.

The Kingfish will host Battle Creek at home tomorrow night at 7:05 CT. On Saturday, Rockford will come to town for a double-header beginning at 4:05 CT.
