Keane Named to Ivan Hlinka Tournament Roster

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Fighting Saints defenseman Joey Keane (Homer Glen, Ill./Miami University of Ohio) has been selected to represent the United States at the upcoming Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, which will take place in Breclav, Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia between August 8 and 13. USA Hockey announced the roster on Thursday afternoon.
Keane recently completed a successful rookie season with the Fighting Saints after tallying 11 points in 55 regular season games. The defenseman, who will turn 17 in early July, is committed to Miami University of Ohio. He will be set to return for a second season in Dubuque as a key member of the defense corps.
The Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament features the best players under the age of 18 from eight countries around the world. Team USA has finished in the top three 12 times since the tournament's inception in 1991. USA's most recent successful result was a third-place finish during the 2014 tournament.
