New York City FC to Host Military Appreciation Day on July 3

To help celebrate United States Independence Day and all those who serve the country, New York City FC will host Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, July 3 when the Club faces the Red Bulls (12 p.m.) at Yankee Stadium. Over 1,300 tickets have been purchased by local businesses and donated to members of the military and their families.
Fans can enjoy various military tributes throughout the game including:
1. An oversized U.S. flag, in the shape of the United States, will be held by active members of military branches.
2. The National Anthem will be performed by the Air Forces' "Singing Sergeants" group, the official chorus of the U.S. Air Force.
3. Military personnel will be included in the Tunnel of Honor along with NYPD and FDNY.
4. Joint military services will present the Nations' colors during the National Anthem.
5. A 17-year veteran of the Navy will take part in the official coin toss.
6. The "Supporters of the City" video series, which airs prior to each home match, will feature an 18-year U.S. Air Force member.
7. City Beats, New York City FC's unique ensemble band, will play a special military tribute at half-time.
