Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Louisville Bats in the finale of a three-game series at Louisville Slugger Field (7:05 p.m.). The Bisons have won eight straight and have a chance tonight to sweep both ends of their six-game West-division roadtrip. Buffalo won three straight over the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field, June 24-26.

Winning Ways

The Bisons have won eight straight games for the first time since a nine-game stretch, April 15-23, 2013. At 18-9, the Bisons have posted their best June since going 20-8 during the 2004 campaign. During the winning streak, Buffalo has outscored their opponents 42-14, posting three shutouts.

All-Stars

The International League named four Bisons to their mid-season All-Star Team today. DH Jesus Montero and RHP Dustin Antolin were elected as starters while RHP Drew Hutchison and RHP Ben Rowen were selected by the IL to the squad. It's the first time Buffalo has had three All-Star pitchers. The group of four is the Herd's most since six Bisons players were named to the All-Star Team in 2005.

vs. Louisville (5-1)

This contest is the final regular-season matchup between the Bisons and the Bats this year. Buffalo has won the season series with five straight wins over Louisville. The Herd has a chance to win six games over the Bats for the first time since going 7-1 against them in "05.

Scott Diamond

LHP Scott Diamond worked seven shutout innings last Friday night in a 1-0 win over the Indians at Victory Field. The southpaw faced just two over the minimum and struck out four. Diamond ranks 3rd on the Bisons in innings pitched (86.0) and second in starts (14).

MLB Rehabs

LHP Brett Cecil (tricep strain) and LHP Franklin Morales (shoulder fatigue) are on MLB injury rehab assignments with the Bisons. Both southpaws have made a pair of scoreless relief appearances for the Herd, with two innings of work and one hit allowed each.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero has driven in a run in each of his last six games (9RBI) and now ranks tied for 2nd in the IL with 47 RBI. Montero also has multi-hit performances in his last six contests, and is now 3rd in the IL in average (.313) and 2nd in total hits (90).

Bisons Bits

The Bisons turned 13 doubleplays in the last five games...The Bisons are an IL-best 30-6 (.833) when scoring first.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (42-37) scored in every inning from the 3rd to the 9th in a 14-9 win over the Rockies last night. LHP J.A. Happ worked the first five innings to become Toronto's first 10-game winner this year and SS Troy Tulowitzki homered against his former team. Toronto takes on the Rockies again today at 3:10 p.m.
