Minnesota Lynx Waive Bashaara Graves

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has waived Bashaara Graves. The 6-2 forward from Tennessee was drafted by the Lynx with the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft and signed on Apr. 19. Graves averaged 0.5 ppg, 0.4 rpg and 0.3 apg in eight games with the Lynx this season.
Graves, a product of Clarksville, Tenn., averaged 10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in 33 contests for the Lady Vols in the 2015-16 season. She connected on 54 percent of her attempts from the field and hit 74 percent at the free throw line. She registered eight double-doubles in her final season, finishing her career with 29 to place ninth on UT's all-time list.
