BROOKLYN, NY - A cold rainy night didn't stop the Cyclones from making an extra inning comeback. Darryl Knight didn't start the game, but he sure found a way to end it after knocking a ball over the center fielders head bringing Gene Cone in for the winning run and giving the Cyclones a 6-5 come-from-behind victory in 10 innings.

Gabriel Llanes started the game for Brooklyn and cruised through 3.0 innings before Hudson Valley broke the scoreless tie in the top of the fourth when a groundout RBI from Nathaniel Lowe brought in Jake Fraley to give the Renegades an early 1-0 lead.

The Renegades were able to tack on another run in the top of the fifth before Brooklyn catcher Dan Rizzie came in swinging in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI triple that brought Jacob Zanon home to put the Cyclones on the board 2-1.

In the top of the sixth, the Renegades padded their lead, scoring three times to jump out to a 5-1 lead and putting an end to the night for Llanes.

But Brooklyn wouldn't go quietly, and they began their come back in the bottom of the eighth. Jay Jabs blasted an RBI double on a line drive to center field in the bottom of the eighth to bring home Knight, who led off the frame with a triple, to bring the score to 5-2 heading to the ninth.

The Cyclones continued their comeback in the bottom of the ninth, when Zanon walked to start the frame and Rizzie followed with a single to center to bring the tying run to the plate. Daryl Knight followed with an RBI single and a wild pitched moved the tying runs into scoring position with just one out. Jay Jabs would work a walk to load the bags before Nick Sergakis drilled a single to center to score a pair and send the game into extra innings.

LHP Taylor Henry(1-0) tossed a scoreless top of the tenth, to give the Cyclones a chance to cap their come back in the bottom of the frame. Gene Cone walked to start the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from Jacob Zanon. Dan Rizzie was then intentionally walked, but the Cyclones catcher and Cone moved to second and third thanks to a wild pitch that put the winning run 90 feet away. Hengelbert Rojas failed to take advantage of the scoring chance, striking out for the second out of the frame, but Darryl Knight played the role of hero with an RBI single that plated Cone and gave the comeback 'Clones a 6-5 win in extra frames. Former Met Jose Reyes went 0-2 in tonight's contest, taking a walk and striking out looking before being pulled from the game in the seventh inning. Reyes went 0-for-5 in his two games played with the Cyclones. He will continue his climb in the Mets organization, reporting to the Double A-Binghamton Mets tomorrow in Altoona.

Brooklyn now holds a 5-6 record and will head on the road to take on the State College Spikes in a three-game series in University Park, PA. They will return to MCU on Friday July 1st vs. the Connecticut Tigers. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 P.M and the first 2,000 fins will receive a Cyclones Jersey BBQ Apron.
