Anaheim Ducks Sign Corey Tropp and Dustin Tokarski to Contract Extensions

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed right wing Corey Tropp to a two-year contract extension and goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a one-year contract extension. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tropp, 26 (7/25/89), has appeared in 148 career NHL games with Buffalo and Columbus, collecting 6-21=27 points with 133 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-0, 185-pound forward was acquired from Chicago in exchange for right wing Tim Jackman and a seventh-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft on Feb. 29, 2016. Tropp split the 2015-16 American Hockey League (AHL) season with San Diego and Albany, earning 16-23=39 points with a +12 rating and 77 PIM in 66 games. Selected by Buffalo in the third round (89th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, Tropp also added 1-1=2 points with 20 PIM in eight Calder Cup Playoff games with the Gulls this spring.

Tokarski, 26 (9/16/89), owns a 10-12-5 record with one shutout, a 2.85 goals-against average (GAA) and .904 save percentage (SV%) in 33 career NHL games with Montreal and Tampa Bay. Tokarski has also appeared in five career NHL Playoff games, including a 3-2 overtime win in Game 3 of the 2014 Eastern Conference Final on May 22, 2014 at the New York Rangers. Acquired from Montreal in exchange for Max Friberg on Jan. 7, 2016, Tokarski appeared in six games with the Canadiens and 12 AHL games with San Diego and St. John's last season. The 6-0, 205-pound goaltender was selected by Tampa Bay in the fifth round (122nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft.
