INF Ryan Leonards Promoted to Birmingham

The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:

- INF Ryan Leonards promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem

- INF Danny Mendick promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

This marks Leonards' seventh assignment during the season. He has played with Winston-Salem, Birmingham and Charlotte--the top three affiliates in the White Sox Minor League system. In 23 combined games, the Louisiana native has hit .217 with one homer, five RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Mendick will begin his second stint with Winston-Salem after shining with the Intimidators en route to a midseason All-Star nod in the South Atlantic League. He hit .298 with one homer, 18 RBIs and 20 runs in 53 games at the Low-A level. Mendick played 11 games with Winston-Salem from April 26 to May 12.

The Dash's roster stands at 24 players, one shy of the Carolina League maximum, plus three on the disabled list.
