JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Armada FC announced on Monday it has transferred forward Matt Fondy to fellow North American Soccer League side Carolina RailHawks. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Fondy also started and played 80 minutes in Jacksonville's 2-1 extra time win over the Charleston Battery in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 1.

"We thank Matt for his contribution to the Armada FC and wish him all the best in the future," said Tony Meola, Armada FC head coach and technical director.

Prior to Jacksonville, Fondy led Louisville City FC and the United Soccer League with 22 goals, winning the USL's Golden Boot and MVP award in 2015. He was also named to the All-USL first team and notched seven assists.
