PEARL, Miss. - The Jacksonville Suns (2-2, 32-42) fell to the Mississippi Braves (2-2, 36-37) by a 3-2 score in the fourth game of the five-game series at Trustmark Park on Sunday evening.
Jacksonville carried a 2-1 lead to the bottom of the eighth, where the Braves rallied for two runs to take a 3-2 lead and get the win. Suns reliever Tyler Higgins (2-3) took the loss, allowing the two Braves runs in the eighth on three hits, and it was his fourth blown save of the season. Braves reliever Jason Hursh (2-2) earned the win with a scoreless eighth, and then Madison Younginer collected his sixth save with a perfect ninth inning.
After the first inning was scoreless, the Suns took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. Alex Glenn hit a two-out triple, then was brought home on an RBI double by Ronnie Mitchell to give Jacksonville the advantage. The Suns grew the lead to 2-0 with a Yefri Perez sacrifice fly in the fifth that scored Mitchell.
