IronPigs Look to Sweep Durham

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Durham Bulls on Sunday evening at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. First pitch of the series finale is slated for 5:05 p.m.

RHP Jake Thompson (6-5, 3.09) gets the ball for the Pigs on Sunday. Thompson earned the win on Tuesday at Norfolk when he gave up two runs on seven hits to go along with a walk and two strikeouts in 8.0 IP. The right-hander is 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA (29.0/3) over his last four starts.

RHP Jacob Faria (1-6, 4.21 in AA) will make his Triple-A debut for the Bulls in the series finale. Faria's last start with Double-A Montgomery came on June 18 vs. Chattanooga when he was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs on seven hits while walking two and fanning seven in 5.0 IP. The La Palma, Calif., native was ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the Rays system by Baseball America prior to the season.

After notching a three-hit game on Saturday, Pigs C Andrew Knapp has hit safely in 17 of his last 20 games. During that stretch, Knapp is hitting .313-1-8 (26-83, 3 2B, 7 BB, 12 R).
