Chihuahuas Start Road Trip with 7-4 Win

The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Reno Aces 7-4 Saturday night in the first of what will be nine consecutive matchups between the two teams. The Chihuahuas have now won four of their last five games.

El Paso took an early 2-0 lead on first inning RBI hits from Alex Dickerson and Casey McElroy. After Reno tied the game in the second inning, the Chihuahuas rallied for four runs on five hits, all singles, in the top of the fourth. The Chihuahuas never trailed for the rest of the game.

Michael Dimock, Daniel Moskos and Derek Eitel combined for four innings of scoreless, hitless relief to close the game. Manuel Margot and McElroy collected two hits each for El Paso in the win. With the victory, the Chihuahuas continue to have the best record in the Pacific Coast League.
