West Virginia Black Bears Encourage Fans to Assist with Relief Efforts

West Virginia Black Bears News Release
The West Virginia Black Bears are teaming up with the United Way and American Red Cross to provide relief efforts to the southern West Virginia areas devastated by recent storms. There will be donation drop off locations at Gate A and Gate C at Monongalia County Ballpark, June 25th-June 27th and July 1st- July 3rd.
General Manager Matthew Drayer stated, "Due to the devastation that is currently happening in the southern part of the state we wanted to utilize our upcoming home stands as a way to help out with the relief. Our staff will be taking all physical donations to the United Way of Southern West Virginia the day after each home stand. We are encouraging all fans to bring at least one item with them."
Items being accepted are as follows: cleaning supplies (especially bleach), baby wipes, diapers, baby food and formula, toiletries, work gloves, toilet paper, feminine hygiene items, shampoo, toothpaste/toothbrushes. Yellow bins will be provided at each gate where items may be placed.
All monetary donations may be directed to the American Red Cross at redcrosswv.org or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 for a $10 donation.
