Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Grizzlies handed the Isotopes their seventh straight defeat on Thursday night, downing Albuquerque 5-2. The seven-game losing streak is the longest of the season for the Isotopes who have now fallen to a 31-43 record.

The Isotopes were able to jump out to an early 1-0 lead when Dustin Garneau connected on a solo home run in the second inning, his fourth of the season.

Albuquerque plated their only other run of the ball game in the seventh inning when Jeff Bianchi drew a bases loaded walk.

In his first rehab appearance with the Isotopes, Rockies pitcher Christian Bergman took the loss on the evening. The 28-year-old allowed three runs on three hits over his four innings on the hill. Bergman struck out four and walked two on 60 pitches.

In his second rehab outing with the Isotopes, Adam Ottavino recorded a scoreless inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Isotopes and Grizzlies wrap up their four-game set tomorrow evening from Chukchansi Park. Jeff Hoffman (4-4, 3.53) takes the hill for Albuquerque and will be opposed by Fresno's Brady Rodgers (6-3, 2.99). First pitch in the series finale is set for 8:05 p.m.
