May 30, 2016 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release

Lucas Giolito combined with Andrew Robinson and John Simms to limit the Akron RubberDucks to just four hits in the Senators 3-2 win on Monday afternoon. The Senators gained a split with the win and move to 26-23 on the season while Akron has dropped two straight and fell to 35-15.

Giolito went the first six innings for his third win. He walked four in the first two innings but settled down to strike out six and allow just one earned run. Andrew Robinson pitched two scoreless innings and struck out four. John Simms earned his second save with a scoreless ninth. The RubberDucks put the tying run at first with no outs in the eighth and ninth but Robinson and Simms kept them at bay.

Rafael Bautista singled leading off the game, stole second and third and scored when the throw to third sailed into left field. Trailing 2-1 in the third, Wilmer Difo raced home with Chris Bostick in a run down between first and second. The Senators took a 3-2 lead when Adrian Sanchez singled in Zach Collier with two outs in the fourth.

Chris Bostick, Cutter Dykstra and Collier all had two hits for the Senators in the game. They had ten hits overall in the game.

With the win, the Senators are now 19-10 in May. With a win on Tuesday night, they would have their first 20-win month since June 2009 when they went 20-9. RH Austen Williams is on the mound for the Senators on Tuesday night.

The Senators return home Tuesday night to begin a three-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Game time Tuesday is 7:00 p.m. with the Matt LeCroy show leading off the broadcast at 6:45 p.m.
