Kitchener Rangers to Participate in Tim Horton's Camp Day
May 30, 2016 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Kitchener Rangers News Release
The Kitchener Rangers are proud to announce that select players will be participating in Tim Horton's Camp Day on Wednesday, June 1st.
The Rangers team mascot, Tex, will be on hand from 11am - 1:30pm, while the players will be on site from 11:30am - 12:30pm at the King and Borden location in Kitchener (925 King Street East).
100% of proceeds from all coffee sales and public donations will go to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation
The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is dedicated to fostering within children the quest for a brighter future.
1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States live in economically disadvantaged homes. For these children, opportunities and environments that promote their growth into healthy individuals are often limited.
A Foundation camp experience provides programs to help these children develop lifelong skills. When they return home, they bring with them a positive attitude about their future, and the confidence to achieve goals they learned to set for themselves.
Tim Horton's largest single fundraising initiative is Camp Day, a 24-hour period when restaurant owners donate the proceeds of all coffee sales and public donations to the Foundation.
