Akron RubberDucks News Release

Harrisburg's Reynaldo Lopez struck out a career-high 12 batters, and Neftali Soto drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, as the Senators wrecked Akron's 17-game home winning streak with a 2-1 victory over the RubberDucks Sunday afternoon at Canal Park.

Turning Point

The Senators took the lead in the top of the ninth inning on a leadoff double by Wilmer Difo, a sacrifice bunt by Isaac Ballou and a sacrifice fly by Soto to right field. The run came against Akron lefty Anderson Polanco (1-3), who was making his first relief appearance for the RubberDucks after three starts.

Akron's top five hitters in the order went a combined 0-12 with eight strikeouts against Lopez. He allowed one run on five hits and didn't walk a batter. Koda Glover (2-0) picked up the win in relief by firing two scoreless innings.

Duck Tales

Eric Stamets was 2-3 on the day, including a game-tying, RBI double in the third inning off Lopez. Alex Monsalve was the only other RubberDucks batter with two hits, as he finished 2-4 with a double.
