Yard Goats Play 'Senzational' for 30th Win

PORTLAND- With Colorado pitching prospect Antonio Senzatela setting the tone, the Hartford Yard Goats unleashed a 13-hit attack to defeat the Portland Sea Dogs 6-3 Sunday afternoon for their 30th win of the season. The Goats improved to 30-18 on the year and have defeated the Red Sox affiliate nine out of 11 games this season.

Senzatela, on the Rockies' 40-man roster, pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits, in his second start since coming off the disabled list. He improved to 2-1. Berlin's Matt Carasiti nailed the victory down with his league-leading 15th save, pitching a scoreless ninth inning.

David Dahl led the Hartford attack going 4-for-4, including two doubles and two RBI. Pat Valaika had a single, double and home run, missing a chance for the cycle in the ninth inning, when he struck out. Ashley Graeter added two hits.

Hartford, which has won two of the first three games, goes for the series win on Memorial Day afternoon at 1:00 PM. RHP Zach Jemiola (4-1) will pitch for Yard Goats against RHP Justin Haley (3-3) for the Sea Dogs. The game will be broadcast on News Radio 1410 WPOP.
