Ottawa 4, Sussex County 3

Champions 3B Jason Coker hit an RBI double in the top of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie, and the Ottawa bullpen held the Miners at bay for a 4-3 win. The Champions had already plated a trio of runs in the third, when LF Matt Helms hit a 2-RBI triple and scored on an error. RHP Daniel Cordero struck out eight Miners in six innings, earning the win for Ottawa. A scoreless ninth with a strikeout garnered a save for RHP Tyler Wilson.

Miners 1B Nick Giarraputo went 2-for-4 in the loss, collecting a first inning RBI single and a double in the third.

Quebec 8, Rockland 2

The Capitales used a pair of three-run frames in the seventh and eighth to break open a close ballgame and earn an 8-2 win over the Boulders. 2B Jonathan Malo played a major role in the rally, driving in a run with a seventh-inning single and two more runs with a single in the eighth. The hits were part of a 3-for-4 night for Malo, who also hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. LF Roel Santos added a 2-for-5 night out of the leadoff spot for Quebec.

RHP Steven Inch allowed just one run in six innings to earn the win for Quebec.

SS Junior Arrojo hit his fifth home run of the season for the Boulders in the loss.

Trois-Rivieres at New Jersey (Suspended- Curfew)

The game between the Aigles and Jackals was suspended due to curfew with Trois-Rivieres leading 3-2 after seven innings. The game will be completed on Sunday, May 29 at 1:05 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium.
