Sean O'Connell promoted to Double-A Birmingham

The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:

- C Sean O'Connell promoted to Double-A Birmingham

- INF Zach Fish promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

- C Daniel Gonzalez promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

O'Connell played in 10 games with Winston-Salem and hit .167 (5-for-30) with one RBI and one run scored. This marks O'Connell's second stint with the Barons this season.

In 24 games with the Intimidators, Fish hit .169 with two homers and 10 RBIs. A former Big 12 Player of the Year at Oklahoma State, Fish is in High-A for the first time as a professional.

This is also Gonzalez's highest stop in Minor League Baseball. A key cog for the AZL White Sox during its championship push a year ago, Gonzalez hit .192 with three RBIs and two runs scored in eight games with Kannapolis this year.

Winston-Salem's roster now stands at the Carolina League maximum of 25 players, plus two on the disabled list.
