GreenJackets Announce Guns & Hoses Night

Augusta, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have announced the Inaugural Guns & Hoses Night as a part of the festivities on Saturday, June 4th at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
Guns & Hoses night will feature a charity softball game between local firefighters and police, with gates opening at 4pm and first pitch for the softball game taking place at 4:15pm.
Following the Guns & Hoses Softball Game the GreenJackets will face the West Virginia Power with first pitch slated for 6:05pm. The Clown Prince of Baseball himself, Myron Noodleman will make an appearance and it is Boy Scout Night, with a sleepover on the field following the game. Kids will be able to run the bases after the game.
"The GreenJackets are excited to host this inaugural event in partnership with the Police Benevolent Foundation and the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation," stated GreenJackets General Manager Tom Denlinger. "In 2016 we are committed to 70 action packed nights and promotions and this day will feature something for everyone."

When asked about the event, Tim Reichert, Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Southern States Police Benevolent Association said, "We are proud to team up with the GreenJackets and to be a part of this event. It really means a lot to organizations like ours when a community like Augusta comes together to help bring awareness to our causes. First responders of all kinds deserve to be recognized for the heroic efforts that they make on a daily basis and we are grateful to the Augusta GreenJackets for recognizing that through this event."

Linda McKnight, President and CEO of the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, added, "The Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation is honored to be the recipient of the Guns vs Hoses baseball game fundraiser. We consider all first responders, like the members of the Richmond County Law Enforcement and Richmond County Fire Department, to be our BFFs (Burn Foundation Friends). In many ways we share the same goals. As they work to save lives while in the midst of a tragedy, the Burn Foundation works to provide services to help families affected by those tragedies."
