Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release

BINGHAMTON, NY - In celebration of No Tobacco Night on Wednesday, the Binghamton Mets announced NYSEG Stadium will go tobacco-free starting in the 2017 season. Inside the gates, fans will no longer be allowed to use cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes nor vaporizers. Tobacco users will have a special smoking area at all games outside the gates of the stadium.

"With the full support of Binghamton Mayor Rich David, the B-Mets have made the decision to go tobacco-free in an effort to make NYSEG Stadium an even more family-friendly environment," said Jim Weed B-Mets General Manager.

The tobacco-free policy will go into effect on Opening Day in April 2017.
