Ryan Klesko Coming to Rome

Atlanta Braves legend Ryan Klesko will make an appearance at State Mutual Stadium on Friday June 24th as part of Retro Night with the Rome Braves. Fans can enjoy a meet and greet session along with an autograph opportunity.

Klesko, a member if the 1995 World Series championship team, became the first player to hit a home run in three consecutive World Series road games when he did so against Cleveland in games three, four, and five. He hit at least 21 home runs in eight of his 13 major league seasons, with a high of 34 homers in 1996. His best season was 2001 when he hit .286 with 30 home runs and posted a career-high 113 RBI and was a member of the National League All-Star team.

"We're happy to have Ryan come to State Mutual Stadium," says Rome General Manager Michael Dunn. "He's a part of the Braves family and I know our fans will enjoy the opportunity to meet him."
