Boston: Greg Gurenlian broke the MLL Faceoff Wins record and then Anthony Kelly retook the record a few hours later; Matt Hossack takes the first Cascade Rookie of the Week honors

New York Lizards 21

Charlotte Hounds 18

The Lizards ended the Hounds' perfect season with a huge victory at home. While New York outscored the Hounds 8-4 in the second quarter, the Hounds responded with six straight goes after halftime. New York ended the quarter on a four-goal run to regain the lead and would continue on to secure the victory. Rob Pannell led the team with nine points (8G, 1A) while Dave Lawson added two goals and two assists. During the game, Greg Gurenlian broke the MLL Career Faceoff Wins record, held by Anthony Kelly at 1587. He finished the night with 23 wins, bringing his career total to 1600 wins. James Pannell made his rookie debut and scored his first MLL goal.

Atlanta Blaze 22

Florida Launch 10

The Blaze showed strong offensive skills, outscoring the Launch 15-4 in the first half and holding on for their second team victory. Atlanta was strong on both ends of the ball with their defensive, anchored in part by Graeme Hossack, holding Kieran McArdle, Casey Powell, and Lyle Thompson to only one goal and one assist each. Scott Ratliff fueled Atlanta's transition and led the Blaze with seven points from three goals, including two two-point goals, and two assists. Kevin Rice and Randy Staats added six and five points respectively. Liam Brynes made his MLL debut for the Launch and picked up five groundballs.

Ohio Machine 14

Boston Cannons 7

Ohio's balanced offense and stifling defense led to the team's fourth win and a No. 1 place in the League standings. In this physical matchup, there were some notable milestones met. Marcus Holman scored his 100th career goal and Tom Schreiber earned his 100th career point. Schreiber led the team with three goals and three assists on the night. Justin Turri led to Cannons' offense with three goals, including one two-pointer. The Machine's defense held Will Manny to only one assist and held the Cannons scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Chesapeake Bayhawks 20

Denver Outlaws 13

The rain didn't seem to bother the Bayhawks as they picked up an early lead on the Outlaws, outscored Denver 12-3 in the first half, and never looked back. The strong Bayhawks offense was balanced between Joe Walters (3G, 4A), Drew Westervelt (3G, 3A), and Matt Danowski (2G, 4A). Callum Crawford had a strong game for the Outlaws and tallied five points on two goals and three assists while Brian Kormandy tallied four points (2G, 2A). Both rookies, John Maloney and Matt Hossack, scored their first MLL goal in the game. Anthony Kelly retook his MLL Career Faceoff Wins record that Gurenlian broke a few hours earlier and reset the record at 1602 faceoff wins.
