Four 2016 CFL Draft Picks Sign with Argonauts

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the club has signed four 2016 CFL Draft picks today: offensive linemen DJ Sackey and Jamal Campbell, receiver Llevi Noel and defensive back Johnathan Ngeleka.

Sackey, a 6-5, 300-pound, native of Mississauga, Ontario was selected by the Argonauts 13th overall in the 2016 CFL Draft earlier this month. The graduate of Mississauga's St. Francis Xavier Secondary School started all eight games at the University of Toronto last season.

Campbell, a 6-7, 300-pound offensive lineman was selected by Toronto in the third round (22nd overall) of the 2016 CFL Draft. The Toronto, Ontario native played 29 games over four seasons at York University. He led all offensive linemen at the 2016 CFL Combine in the 40-yard dash (4.98s), three-cone drill (7.41s), short shuttle (4.78s), vertical (31") and broad jump (8'11.75").

Llevi Noel (pronunciation: LEE-V-EYE), spent the 2015 season with the CJFL's Windsor AKO Fratmen after spending two seasons at the University of Toronto. The 6-2, 210-pound native of Toronto, Ontario caught 25 passes for 398 yards and six touchdowns while returning three kickoffs for 164 yards and a touchdown and five punts for 110 yards and one touchdown with the Fratmen. The 2014 first-team OUA All-Star and second-team CIS All-Canadian led the country with an average of 8.2 receptions for 126.3 yards per game in 2014 at U of T, and recorded four 100+-yard games, including a career-high 200 yards receiving vs. Carlton. The Argos picked Noel in the fourth round (31st overall) of the 2016 CFL Draft.

Ngeleka(pronunciation: NUH-GLE-KAH), drafted by the Argos in the seventh round (58th overall), spent four years at McMaster University. Prior to missing the 2015 OUA season due to injury, he registered 16 tackles, three tackles for a loss of 25 yards, and two sacks with the Marauders in 2014.
