Round Rock Express Return Home for Loaded Eight-Game Homestand

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The boys are back in town! After capturing yet another series victory on the road, the first place Round Rock Express return to Dell Diamond on Friday, May 6 to kick off a jam-packed eight-game homestand. The E-Train host the second place New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate) in a pivotal early-season four-game series before turning their attention to the Oklahoma City Dodgers (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) in a 2015 American Conference Championship Series rematch.

The homestand kicks off Friday night at 7:05 p.m. as Texas Rangers RHP Yu Darvish is set to make his first rehab start of the season for the Express. The three-time MLB All-Star is expected to throw 45-50 pitches, or about three innings. Darvish, the 2013 MLB strikeout leader, will be making his first-ever appearance in a Round Rock uniform. With a near capacity crowd expected, fans are urged to arrive early. Parking lots will open at 4:30 p.m. while gates to Dell Diamond will open at 5:30 p.m. The pivotal Southern Division clash will be capped off with Bud Light Friday Fireworks, as fans can enjoy a postgame fireworks show set to iconic tunes from the 1980s.

The 80s theme will spill over into Saturday as the Express host the first of two 80s Nights at Dell Diamond. Fans are encouraged to come decked out in totally tubular garb from the 80s. The Spazmatics will take the centerfield stage following the 6:05 p.m. game in the second installment of the St. David's Summer Concert Series presented by Dell.

Mother's Day, Education Day and 70s Night are on the horizon for this eventful week at Dell Diamond. Below are highlights and promotions for each contest of the eight-game homestand.
