NEWS AND NOTES

THEY MEET THE METS : The Portland Sea Dogs begin the second part of their homestand on Monday night, taking on the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field...Portland is seeking their first 3-game win streak of the season, and their longest since a 4-game winning streak last July 23-26...RHP Teddy Stankiewicz is 4th in the Eastern League with a 1.13 ERA, but has 4 no-decisions to start his Double-A career...With yesterday's win, the 'Dogs are now 2-1-0 in series at Hadlock in 2016.

RIJO REWARDED : 2B Wendell Rijo committed an error in the top of the 10th inning that led to the go-ahead run, but he made up for it in a big way, as Portland scored a 7-6 walk-off win on Sunday afternoon...With two outs, Rijo nailed a two-run double to left-centerfield in the bottom of the 10th off losing pitcher Jeremy Bleich...Rijo went 4-for-5, 2 runs scored and reached base five times...Simon Mercedes (first win) wiggled out of a bases-loaded one out jam, fanning Rhys Hoskins and Jake Fox to end the 10th.
