From the Notes
By the Numbers - 5: Aces righty Tyler Wagner logged his fifth career complete game as he tossed all seven innings in the opener of Saturday night's twinbill. He also recorded his first quality start in three outings for Reno.
Hitting Leaders: Reno is batting .290 as a team, which ranks third in the Pacific Coast League. Individually, Jason Bourgeois ranks fifth with a .379 average (22-for-58), while Mike Freeman stands tied for sixth with Peter O'Brien at .370 (30-for-81), and the pair also share the Triple-A lead of 30 hits with Albuquerque's Mike Tauchman. In addition, O'Brien is tied for the circuit lead with seven home runs and ranks second with 20 runs scored and a .691 slugging percentage. He also is tied for first with 56 total bases and fourth with 21 RBI.
Freeman's Run Comes to an End: Freeman extended his team-high hitting streak to 17 games in Saturday's first game, but was left in the on-deck circle to end Game 2 and saw his streak snapped. He batted .397 (27-for-68) during the run, with 23 hits as singles (two doubles, two triples). The utilityman raised his batting average 85 points from .300 to .385 over the course of the streak, which is the longest in Triple-A this season.
